Allens Taxis has been a family business since 1938 when it was founded by Aubrey Allen. It is now Chaired by his son Clive & Managed by his grandson, Richard.
The Company has achieved steady growth & can now boast over 300 vehicles on its computerised despatch system of various types including Black (London) Cabs, People Movers for 6,7,or 8 passengers, modern saloon cars & of course vehicles with wheelchair access.
This variety of vehicles means that most special requirements
can be catered for. Lady Drivers, subject to availability, may also
be requested.
All Allens Taxis Black Cabs & Private Hire vehicles are 'metered'
& strictly regulated by Coventry Hackney Carriage Office.

& courtesy is of the utmost importance. Allens Taxis have grown
through its many years because of its attention to detail, its care
for you, the customer & 'Good Practice` guidelines that have
been set for your drivers.

TAXI & PRIVATE HIRE DRIVER GUIDELINES
Allens Taxis know that you the customer will continue to use the
Company if our level of service remains high. To ensure this, all
of our drivers are issued with Good Practice guidelines & following
are a few that we regard as being particularly important.
Cleanliness: The vehicle must be clean inside & out at all times.
Drivers must be clean & tidy.
Efficiency: Every attempt must be made for prompt pick-up. Drivers must knock/ring the customers door whenever possible instead of sounding horn.
Helpfulness: Drivers must help at all times with shopping/luggage/parcels, & assist the passenger/s if required.
Passenger Comfort:
Drivers will refrain from smoking & eating & playing the
radio too loud. He/She will ensure all relevant seat belts are fastened
& help elderly or infirm passengers in and out of the vehicle.
When dark & money is changing hands,
suitable lighting must be switched on.
Safety: Drivers must drive safely at all
times giving good regard to the road conditions & levels of
traffic.
